CEO of Hooters earns his wings

Wing king Robert Brooks earned his wings at the age of 69 yesterday as the CEO of Hooters kicked the bucket (note: we make the Hooters bucket reference with reverance here). While his latest venture Hooters Air never really took off Mr. Brooks can rest assured that many a beer will be raised to the sky in his honor by sportsbar frequenters everywhere this week. Whether he is currently being waited on by buxom winged cherubs sporting tight orange shorts remains to be seen but one thing for sure is that Robert Brooks certainly leaves a legacy.

So in honor of Mr. Brooks theWadeblogs looks at a half-dozen, hot and spicy Hooters girls who have gone on to bigger and better things themselves (interestingly enough all of them share a sports connections).

Jillian Nathan - Before becoming cohost of NESN's Boston Bruins All-Access, Jillian made her self accessible to fans as Hooters waitress. Her fav. food according to her NESN bio... buffalo tenders.

Amy Adams - Before almost winning Oscar gold for her role in Junebug this redhead wore Hooters orange. Adams will get your engines started again as can be seen in next month's Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.

Christy Hemme - Unbeknownest to the guys slamming beers around this young Hooters waitress, was that Christy would one day go on to slam opponents in the WWE.

If you are looking for some words to live by read this interview piece done by Clemson Co-Ed magazine last year complete with mammary jokes and quotes like “I work hard to get out of work. I don’t get up until late in the morning. I have long lunches, though most of the time they’re working lunches. I don’t look at it as work; I’m having a good time. During a physical, the doctor asked how I felt. At 68, I said my concern is I feel too good.” Right on Robert Brooks... right on.
