If you thought Barbaro's x-rays were pretty screwy check out those of Tour de France winner Floyd Landis. Compare and contrast the right and left hip joint within the MRI provided... it is pretty crazy how deteriorated his leg ball bone is (it is essentially gone) and how much pain this guy has endured.

After wining the yellow jersey and standing on the winner's podium on Sunday Floyd will soon be heading to the doctor's table to replace his hip.

I actually did a very interesting interview with Floyd Landis' doctor as I filmed the clinching stage/time trial with Dr. Kay alongside Floyd's relatives and training partners in Floyd's homebase of Temecula, CA over the weekend. Check out this exclusive clip of his surgeon, Dr. Kay, stepping us through the problems facing the Tour de France winner.

Stay tuned as I hope to document Floyd's as he heads into his operation and monitor his post-surgery progress.It will undoubtedly be an uphill climb but given how Floyd was able to tackle Alps and stage one of sports greatest comebacks this surgery should be just a another speed bump in the Landis legacy.
