Everybody was on pins and needles awaiting to hear the fate of Barbaro as the champion's leg was fitted with screws and plates on Sunday. (check out his actual x-ray at right... how they pieced his leg back together beats us)
While his surgery and post surgery dip (evidently they awoke the horse from his operation in a pool) were well documented but thewadeblogs.com couldn't find any reports on any other "handling" of Barbaro. Seriously we were wondering if there was any hedging done on the owner's behalf just in case the worst happened to his Derby Champion. After all Barbaro is a stud.. crippled, dead or not. His breeding rights will fetch a pretty penny for his owners.
So we didn't mean to plant a seed in our reader's heads but if you do come across an article about doctors harvesting Barbaro's seed... well, we told you so. Do pass on any links though as we want to hear it from the horse's mouth.
