Playmate Gets Pucked
Check out 1997 Playmate of the Year Victoria Silvstedt showing off her fat lip. (sorry for such a tantalizing teaser but you can find other pix of VS plastered all over the web).
As it turns out the centerfold was sitting center ice at MSG the other night when she was struck midway through the first period of the NY Ranger game. Silvstedt was a sport as she refused medical treament and stayed throughout the overtime contest. "Oh, look at my lip," Victoria quipped as she held up the wayward puck.
The Swedish centerfold might have had bad luck but she proved to be a good luck charm for her compatriot Henrik Lundqvist. Henrik was brought in relief for goalie Kevin Weekes and he rose to the occasion for Victoria and helped make the Rangers victorious. Lundqvist stopped the Buffalo Sabres in a 5-4 shootout helping end the Rangers 2 game slide.
It appers Lundqvist , who hails from Are, Sweden, and Silvstedt are a couple. How Swede it is... check the couple out as they make the rounds earlier in the year (pictured at right).
In doing our strenuous research on the Playboy Playmate we discovered that Victoria was quite the athlete herself. According to her bio on her official site:
"Victoria became a world-class member of the Swedish National Ski Team, ranking as high as fourth among her future Olympian teammates in the Super-Giant Slalom. A devastating shoulder injury prematurely ended Victoria’s Olympic dreams at the age of 16. But that was just the beginning of her career. Although at the time she was a complete teenage tomboy who had never even worn a pair of high heel shoes, Victoria’s mother and sister secretly entered her into the 1993 Miss Sweden Beauty Pageant."
We seriously doubt if Silvstedt was ever too unsightly. Speaking of ice, ice baby... check out these other winter beauties who we recently exposed in our Naked Olympic curling calendar report.

OK, I'll bite: Did someone inform her husband she is dating this hockey player?
Did they get separated or divorced?
