Players have said spring training can be a drag but judging by Bonds latest... Barry took it to another level.
Much has been made of Barry Bonds recent media address in a dress. One has to question why a guy who has been rubbed the wrong way by the press suddenly comes out to the media in such a way (we agree with our friends over at Deadspin... it is no conincidence that it also happened to be the first day of shooting for his new ESPN reality show).
Barry claims to have been inspired by American Idol but it looks more like he was tipping his cap in an Oscar salute to Transamerica. While his intention might have been to impersonate Idol's Paula Abdul we couldn't help but be reminded of Serena Williams with their toothy smiles and brawny builds.
One also has to wonder if the news Barry entering the world of TV has got Star shaking in her (Payless) shoes. Apparently there have been rumors that Jones could be jonesing for a job and given this picture (click on inset) we are sure Barry could fill her void on the View (and by void we mean crater like cave left by Star on the couch) Click the image at LEFT to view a LARGE version of our Barry Bonds/Star Jones comparison.
