Chasing Bush - Drinking Like a Champion in Notre Dame, IN?
The Washington Times noted that when President Bush flew into Indiana late last week he was greeted at the airport by none other than Notre Dame Coach Charlie Weis who bestowed the President with "two blue football jerseys numbered 43 and 41, for himself and his father, former President Bush."
Since the last Bush who visited South Bend also happened to be a bit pushy, one has to wonder what 3-time letterwinning linebacker Anthony Salvador (#43) and frosh Mike Smith (#41) thought as they had in effect had been replaced on the fly by a couple geriatric "yalie" rounders. (Both Bushes played baseball in college).
Considering GW's hard partying past perhaps Weis should have presented the President with a more fitting Notre Dame shirt.... maybe one like Ben Roethlisberger was recently seen sporting.
